BISSAU FILM MEETING

On Friday, January 15, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm in Bissau, the first edition of the BISSAU FILM MEETING (BFM) will take place at the facilities of the Brazil Guinea-Bissau Cultural Center.

An event dedicated to cinema, where the public will be able to talk and watch films by Guinean actor and director Welket Bungué, recently awarded the “Bronze Horse” for Best Leading Actor at the Stockholm International Film Festival for his performance in the new adaptation of the film 'Berlin Alexanderplatz'.

This event is a joint organization between the company KalmaSoul Guinea-Bissau and the Centro Cultural Brasil Guiné-Bissau.

During the event, the public will have the opportunity to watch 4 productions by actor and director Welket Bungué, who will be present at the event, and 2 more films by invited directors, totaling 6 films. 'Tradition and Imagination', by Vanessa Fernandes, a director born in Guinea-Bissau, performer and master in film directing. And also, 'Regulado', by Filipa César, a filmmaker interested in the fictional aspects of documentary cinema since 2011, who continuously researches the origins of the cinema of the African Liberation Movement in Guinea-Bissau.
